Reverse protein chip lab director-Professor Yiling Lu of America MD Anderson Cancer Research Center visited our Hospital

In the afternoon of May 30th, 2012, reverse protein chip lab director-associate Professor Yiling Lu and another person of America Houston University MD Anderson Cancer Research Center came to our hospital for academic lectures.

Professor Yiling Lu had for many years devoted herself to basic medical research in MD Anderson Cancer Research Center, which ranked the first in tumor research agencies of America, and made great attainments on tumor signal transduction pathways and systematic biology studies. This time invited by Vice President Congjian Xu and Vice Secretary of the Party Committee Xiaojun Chen to our Hospital for introduction of cutting-edge advances in related research fields.

The visiting guests, accompanied by Vice President Congjian Xu, who was also the director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Female Reproductive Endocrine Related Diseases, visited the lab, asked in detail about research development situation, and gave high praise to the visionary key laboratory planning, modern equipment and environment.

Subsequent academic exchange activities were hosted by Vice President Congjian Xu, who also delivered a welcome speech. Deputy director of the Key Laboratory Professor Sunwei Guo, experts of our hospital such as Professor Yinhua Yu, Professor Wei Zhang, staff of the Key Laboratory and many graduate students attended the meeting. Associate Profess Yiling Lu delivered an academic lecture entitled "The application of reverse protein chip(RPPA)'s in functional proteomics and cancer gene profiling(TCGA)"for research personnel of our hospital, and explained in detail the data retrieval and usage of relevant biological information. Experts and graduate students of our hospital raised questions about what interested them, and made in-depth exchanges with the guests.

Both sides expressed their hope that by sharing experience and information on gynecologic oncology research field, the scientific research cooperation and exchange between the two sides would be promoted.
