Associate Professor Lu Yiling, Director of Reverse Phase Protein Array (RPPA) Lab of MD Anderson Cancer Center, Visited Our Hospital

A group of 2 members, led by associate professor Lu Yiling, director of RPPA Lab, MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Houston, delivered academic lectures in our hospital on the afternoon of May 30, 2012.

Associate professor Lu Yiling has carried out basic medical research in the MD Anderson Cancer Center, No. 1 cancer research institute in US, and has conducted profound research into the tumorous signaling pathway and systems biology. She was invited by vice directors Xu Congjian and vice Party secretary Chen Xiaojun to our hospital to introduce the latest progress in her research field.

The guests visited the lab accompanied by vice director of our hospital Xu Congjian, director of Shanghai Key Laboratory of Female Reproductive Endo­crine Related Diseases. They asked about our research in detail, and highly acclaimed the lab's forward-looking plan, modernized apparatus and environment.

The follow-up academic exchange was presided over by vice director Xu Congjian, who also delivered a welcome speech. Vice director of the key lab professor Guo Sunwei, professor Yu Yinhua, professor Zhang Wei, members from the key lab, and many postgraduates attended the meeting. Associate professor Lu Yiling gave a lecture on "application of RPPA in functional proteomics and the cancer genome atlas (TCGA)", elucidated the retrieval and usage of biology data. Experts and postgraduates from our hospital asked the questions they were interested in, and had in-depth communication with the visitors.

Both sides stated that they expected further communication and cooperation in scientific research through sharing of experience and information concerning the study of gynecological neoplasm.
