Shanghai Gynecology Clinical Quality Control Center (SGQCC) is under the leadership of Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, being responsible for the professional guidance and quality management of gynecology sections in medical institutions at all levels of the city. In Aug 2008, the Shanghai Health Bureau approved the establishment of Shanghai Gynecology Clinical quality control center and anchored in Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University. Professor Feng Youji is the director of SGQCC and the expert committee was also organized, which consisted of gynecology directors or experts from parts of Shanghai local grade II or higher level hospitals. 

Under the guidance of the organization of Bureau of Medical Affairs in Shanghai Municipal Health Bureau, SGQCC is strengthening the quality control system and working out guidelines as well as work standards for diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases relying on expert committee. Professional skills of all the gynecologists are improved through the organization of free specialized courses. We also organize experts to evaluate the safety and efficacy of gynecological new techniques and new methods; setting up information system and sharing all resources. Gynecological quality control standards are modified at regular intervals. Quality control plans and quality assessment programs are developed and  reported to the municipal health administrative department for approval before implementation. Our hope the overall gynecological services quality of institutions at all levels will be improved.
