"As a important member of our hospital Technical Dept, Pharmacy Dept includes such subsidiaries as Outpatient Pharmacy, Medical Herbs Pharmacy, Inpatients Dispensary, Emergency Pharmacy, Pharmacy Intravenous Admixture Services (PIVAS), Drug Storehouse and Clinical Pharmacy Room. Currently, there’re 66 employees in the department, including 9 persons who hold intermediate technical title, 28 persons owning junior technical title and 7 masters. 

Outpaitent pharmacy handles over 3500 prescriptions per day. Although Busy Working, it also monitors adverse drug reaction in outpatients and undertakes part of scientific researches of clinical pharmacology base. In order to help inpatients and some outpatients, Outpaitent medical herbs pharmacy introduced decoction-free granula. With integration function of oral drug dispensing room, outpatient & emergency obstetrical pharmacy and inpatient obstetrical pharmacy, obstetrical pharmacy does well in medication service for all inpatients by cooperating with gynecological pharmacy. PIVAS can help reduce pressure of nurses, occupational risk and guaranteeing medication quality and security. With the opening of Yangpu Branch, Drug storehouse is facing a growing purchasing task, which requires orderly and timely on-demand supply. Founded in 2007, clinical pharmacy dept. has witnessed rapid development in recent years. It’s been granted several municipal research funds successively and now is preparing to establish a clinical pharmacy lab. While continuously conducting basic research in pharmacy, it’s also working to promote knowledge about clinical rational drug use by pharmacy ward round, community education, clinical group consultation and establishing of drug consulting mail and hotline, all of which are acknowledged and praised by patients and medical staff.
